As well as showcasing Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and their culture and providing employment opportunities, NITV can play an important role in getting messages out to communities, particularly around issues like closing the gap.

Head of Production Susan Moylan-Coombs told Newslines that NITV is in a position to be a voice for all indigenous Australians.
