Online Event: The Rights of Indigenous Women and Girls – Perspectives from Australia, Canada and New Zealand

The Australian Human Rights Commission in partnership with associates from the Canada Human Rights Commission and New Zealand Human Rights Commission is hosting an event as part of the UN ONHCR Expert Mechanism on the Rights of Indigenous People.

Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Social Justice Commissioner (June Oscar) will host a moderated panel discussion, sharing perspectives from Australia, Canada and New Zealand around the rights of Indigenous women and girls. The discussion is based on the 2020 Wiyi Yani U Thangani report.

Please join the National Human Rights Institutions from each of these three countries for the 1.5-hour event from 7pm (AEST) on Wednesday, July 14, 2021.
