The Morrison Government is investing more than $120 million to improve the lives of thousands of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children through better access to quality early childhood education.

The Morrison Government has released the Commonwealth’s first Closing the Gap Implementation Plan, and with it committed more than $1 billion in new measures to support to help achieve Closing the Gap outcomes.

The Morrison Government has requested the Productivity Commission undertake a study into the nature and structure of the markets for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander visual arts and crafts, and policies to address deficiencies in these markets.

The Morrison Government is delivering $378.6 million for a financial and wellbeing redress scheme for living Stolen Generations members who were removed as children from their families in the Northern Territory and the Australian Capital Territory prior to their respective self-government and the Jervis Bay Territory.

A scheme is being established to provide support to Stolen Generations survivors who were forcibly removed as children from their families in the NT, ACT and Jervis Bay Territory.
