The 2013 National NAIDOC Awards were held in Perth last week where 10 Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Australians were honoured for their outstanding achievements and contributions in their chosen fields.

The 2013 National NAIDOC Awards were held in Perth last week where 10 Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Australians were honoured for their outstanding achievements and contributions in their chosen fields.

Funded by the Australian Government, the awards are part of NAIDOC Week, a celebration of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures and an opportunity to recognise the contributions of Indigenous Australians.
