We are ‘In This Together’ for Reconciliation Week 2020

Culture and Capability
In this together- National Reconciliation Week 2020, 27 May – 3 June

National Reconciliation Week 2020 events will proceed online, where you can join in through social and digital media conversations.

National Reconciliation Week shines a light on Australia and its journey towards reconciliation.

The theme for National Reconciliation Week 2020, In this together, reminds us all, that we need to be in this journey together.

In 2020, National Reconciliation Week marks the 20th anniversary of the reconciliation walks. People came together across Australia, marching together, crossing bridges in a show of support for reconciliation.

With the current restrictions due to COVID-19, Reconciliation Australia have taken a different approach to events for the week. Many events will be online and you can join in the activities through social media.

Suggestions on how you can participate in the events and be In this together include:

National Acknowledgment of Country

To launch the week, Reconciliation Australia are asking everyone to share an Acknowledgment of Country on social media and show respect to the Traditional Owners of the Land you are on (see the AIATSIS map of Indigenous Australia).
