ORIC Spotlight On: Bush food, meet tech

Mamabulanjin Aboriginal Corporation is leading an alliance to certify the authenticity and provenance of Kakadu plums in the Top End.
Mamabulanjin Aboriginal Corporation is a tech-friendly pioneer working to benefit growers and consumers of a native ‘superfood’, the Kakadu plum.
It’s the lead agency in the Northern Australia Kakadu Plum Alliance, which recently received substantial government funding to use technology to verify the authenticity and provenance of the Top End plums.
Mamabulanjin’s orchards are growing thousands of trees, and each hectare has the potential to yield tens of thousands of dollars.
