The Indigenous Procurement Policy (IPP) is opening the door for new businesses and expanding market opportunities for existing organisations.
With 1,330 businesses currently listed on the Supply Nation Register, 956 business have secured 4,880 contracts since the lPP was launched in July 2015.
The IPP makes it easier for Australian Government agencies to work with Indigenous businesses.
Managing Director of Ergonomic Workstation Products, Gerard Ivinson said their $1.3 million contract with the Australian Taxation Office has helped his business ‘create a market edge’.
