Refreshing summer foods are a treat to prepare in the kitchen during the school holidays or as an after school snack.

In this video, Ashlee and her helpers Mia and Imani prepare kebabs using leftover fruit.

The ingredients include strawberries, blueberries, watermelon and banana. However, the recipe can easily be made with any fruit you have at home. There is no need to stick to the ingredients used in the video.

What you need:

  • 2-4 different types of fruits
  • skewer sticks
  • yoghurt – optional, we used it as a dipping sauce

Method:

  1. Cut fruit into 1-2 cm pieces
  2. Thread fruit onto skewer
  3. Dunk in yoghurt if you like
