Culture and Capability
The 2018 NAIDOC Week Poster ‘tarmunggie – Woman’, with artist, Cheryl Moggs.

This year’s National NAIDOC poster competition winner, Cheryl Moggs, will be attending the Australian Parliament House NAIDOC launch and Major Indigenous Acquisition Unveiling, Cheryl will also say a few words about her artwork. This is the first time an original NAIDOC artwork has been hung in Parliament House.

The artwork, ‘tarmunggie – Woman’ represents the 2018 NAIDOC theme of ‘Because of her, we can!’, and portrays the courage and resilience of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women with three overlaying images connecting dreamtime, culture and knowledge.
