Indigenous Tokyo Paralympians - who to watch, when and where

Culture and Capability
A woman dressed in green and yellow cycling wear rides a bike toward the camera. In the background is a dark road and signage.

We congratulate the 3 Indigenous Australians competing in 3 different sports at the 2020 Tokyo Paralympics and wish them success as they represent our country on the world stage.

The 2020 Tokyo Paralympics begins tonight (24 August) after a long delay due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Included in the Australian Paralympic team are 3 Indigenous Australians: Amanda Reid, Samantha Schmidt and Ruby Storm.

A favourite part of every Olympics is the opening ceremony featuring the entrance of the national teams into the Olympic stadium.

Be sure to tune in and watch Amanda, Samantha and Ruby enter the Olympic stadium during the Opening Ceremony and keep track of their performances and the rest of the team over the next 13 days.

We congratulate them and wish them well as they represent Australia in their respective sports.
