Refreshing summer foods are a treat to prepare in the kitchen during the school holidays or as an after school snack.

In this video, Ashlen is assisted by Mia and Imani to prepare a watermelon pizza.

The toppings used include strawberries, yoghurt and banana. However, the recipe can easily be made with any fruit you have at home. There is no need to stick to the ingredients used in the demonstration video.

What you need

  • 1 watermelon
  • 1 punnet of strawberries
  • 1 punnet of blueberries
  • 1 tub of vanilla yoghurt  

Method

  • Cut watermelon into round slices approx 3cm thick
  • Spread yoghurt over the top of the slices
  • Chop strawberries and decorate
  • Sprinkle blueberries over the top
