Elsie from Thursday Island: Getting the COVID-19 vaccine is a no brainer

Elsie Seriat is a born and bred Thursday Islander. She encourages everybody, especially Indigenous youth, to get the COVID-19 vaccine.

She works for the Johnathan Thurston Academy as a JTBelieve Officer and also as a Community Research Officer for the Mayi Kuwayu Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Wellbeing Study.

Watch this young mum and passionate runner as she encourages everybody to get the COVID-19 vaccine.

‘I got the COVID-19 vaccine because I believe that it’s important for myself, and also to keep my community and my family safe,’ Elsie said.
