Celebrating women who are pressing for progress
To celebrate International Women’s Day on 8 March, Indigenous.gov.au is showcasing Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women who are ‘pressing for progress’ in their own lives and in the lives of those in their communities.
International Women’s Day is 8 March, with a strong call to ‘Press for Progress’ the 2018 theme.
To commemorate this important day, Indigenous.gov.au searched its archives and found stories to share which showcase Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women who are pressing for, and making progress for themselves and their communities.
We invite you to sit back, relax and read about some of the great things happening in this country because of high achieving, determined and sacrificing women.
