The Supplier Diversity Awards were held at the culmination of the Supply Nation Connect 2018 conference in Sydney.

The who’s who of the Indigenous business sector frocked-up for the Supplier Diversity Awards at a black tie gala in Sydney on Wednesday night. Hosted by radio personality, Brooke Boney and actor, Luke Carroll, the awards put the spotlight on supplier diversity champions from across Australia.

Laura Berry, Supply Nation CEO kicked off with a speech that outlined the highlights of the two day Connect 2018 conference that preceded the awards and reiterated her conference message that we all have a role to play in shaping a more inclusive economy.

The highlight of the evening was a performance by Casey Donovan, who left no one in doubt why she is known to have the most deadly voice in the business.

The Supplier Diversity Awards recipients were:

  • Indigenous Business Woman of the Year: Petina Tieman, Complete Business Solutions (QLD)
  • Registered Business of the Year: Evolve FM
  • Corporate Member of the Year: Fortescue Metals Group
  • Procurement Professional of the Year: Donna Reddin, Laing O’Rourke
  • Supplier Diversity Partnership of the Year: Rusca Environmental Solutions and Shell Australia
  • Supplier Diversity Advocate of the Year: Peter Critchley, Broadspectrum
  • Certified Supplier of the Year: Indigenous Professional Services
  • Young Indigenous Entrepreneur of the Year: Sharna Collard, Kooya Australia Fleet Solutions
  • Government Member of the Year: The Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet
  • Outstanding Impact Award: Evolve FM
