On 8 February 2024, the Australian Government announced the Youpla Support Program, an enduring resolution for people impacted by the collapse of the insurance provider, the Youpla Group.

On 8 February 2024, the Australian Government announced the Youpla Support Program, an enduring resolution for people impacted by the collapse of the insurance provider, the Youpla Group.

The Youpla Support Program is expected to help more than 13,000 former policy holders recover from the financial loss experienced after the collapse.

The Program will provide a resolution payment through a funeral bond regulated by the Government, or a cash payment.

From 1 July 2024

People can apply for a resolution payment if they paid for a Youpla Funeral Insurance Policy that was active any time on or after 1 August 2015.

The amount will be assessed at 60 per cent of the premium paid up to the value of the policy.
