Over the past two weeks there has been an increase in the number of people who have tested positive for the coronavirus in Victoria. It’s important to remember that this can happen to any community whether in the city, or out bush. Coronavirus remains a risk and outbreaks can be very serious, especially for those of us who have other health issues.

The situation in Victoria reminds us how quickly the virus can spread and why we need to continue to do the important things that will keep ourselves, our families and our communities safe.

We all have a role to play in this fight to protect our communities. Now more than ever we still need to stay COVID Safe.

That means:

  1. Washing your hands, with soap and water where you can for at least 20 seconds
  2. Keeping your distance from other people (Two big steps apart and no big groups)
  3. Downloading the COVIDSafe App.

If you feel like you might be getting sick, stay at home and speak to your local health service or doctor about getting tested.
