The Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) has approved the Pfizer/BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine for use in adolescents.

The Pfizer/BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine has been approved for use in children aged 12-15 years by the Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA).

All Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people aged 16 and over are able to access a COVID-19 vaccine.

Following the TGA approval, the Australian Technical Advisory Group on Immunisation (ATAGI) will now consider which groups of adolescents should be prioritised and how and when it should be administered to this age group.

COVID-19 vaccines will be available at your local Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Service, Commonwealth vaccination clinics, participating general practices, and state and territory clinics.

Use the COVID-19 vaccine eligibility checker to help you find a clinic where you can receive the vaccine.
