Nominations are now open for the Supplier Diversity Awards 2022 which recognise companies, government agencies and individuals contributing to a prosperous and vibrant Indigenous business sector.

As Australia’s leader in supplier diversity, Supply Nation works to foster opportunities between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander businesses and procurement teams from government and corporate Australia to help shape today’s emerging and rapidly evolving Indigenous business sector.

Each year, Supply Nation hosts the Supplier Diversity Awards to recognise companies, government agencies and individuals who are contributing to create a prosperous, vibrant and sustainable Indigenous business sector.

Supply Nation’s CEO Laura Berry shares: “The Supplier Diversity Awards celebrate the growing success of our sector and shine a spotlight on individuals and organisations that are committed to increasing supplier diversity in Australia”.

This year Supply Nation has unveiled two new newly recognised award categories; the Sam Tjengala Reuben Award recognising Young Entrepreneur of the Year and the Dr Dean Jarrett Award recognising Outstanding Impact.

‘We are proud to honour two individuals who have made tremendous contributions to their communities and to the growth of the sector” said Ms Berry.

Nathan Martin, winner of the Young Indigenous Entrepreneur of the Year in 2021 and CEO of Yalagan Group, shares his experience of what it meant to win at the Awards earlier this year.

"More than anything, winning this award has given me a renewed sense of accomplishment and motivation for the future. If I can inspire other people and businesses to work towards creating sustainable outcomes for our Indigenous communities across Australia, I know that I’m doing the best that I can."

Nominations for the Supplier Diversity Awards close on Friday 25 February 2022. The award winners will be announced at Supply Nation’s annual flagship event for the Indigenous business sector, Connect, returning to the International Convention Centre in Sydney on Wednesday 25 May 2022.
