New job opportunities in remote Australia

Grants and Funding

Applications for the New Jobs Program Trial grant opportunity are now open.

The New Jobs Program Trial is part of the Commonwealth’s phased approach towards replacing the Community Development Program (CDP), working in partnership with First Nations People.

Grant funding is available to support up to 200 jobs at the minimum wage rate plus superannuation and other employment entitlements.

Community organisations and local government that deliver employment services in select CDP regions can apply for funding to support CDP participants to move off of income support into paid employment, and to work in jobs that support the needs of their own communities.

Further information including eligibility criteria and how to apply is available on GrantConnect. Applications will close on 30 October 2024, or when the Trial is fully allocated, whichever is sooner.
