Getting proof of your COVID-19 vaccination

Once you are vaccinated, you can get proof of your COVID-19 vaccinations online, for free.

You may need to show proof that you have had your COVID-19 vaccinations, for example if you want to go to a café or travel internationally.

Once you get proof of your COVID-19 vaccinations, you can download it to your phone or print a copy.

Types of proof

You can either get your immunisation history statement or a COVID-19 digital certificate for use in Australia.

If you want to travel overseas, you will need to get an International COVID-19 Vaccination Certificate.

How to get proof

How you get proof depends on your situation.

The Services Australia website has a tool to find out the easiest way to get proof of your COVID-19 vaccinations, based on your situation.

If you can’t get proof online, you can call the Australian Immunisation Register (AIR) on 1800 653 809 and ask them to send your proof to you. It can take up to 14 days for your statement or certificate to arrive in the post.
