COVID-19 – Your personal health information is confidential
If you test positive to COVID-19, your personal health information is confidential and will be kept safe.
If you have any cold or flu-like symptoms please stay at home and call your local health service or doctor to make a to make an appointment for a COVID-19 test.
If you test positive to COVID-19, you will be asked about who you have been close to recently. You may also be asked some questions about where you have been lately.
Only the health workers will have access to this information. They will not tell the police, your boss, or anyone else.
If you test positive to COVID-19 and have downloaded the COVIDSafe App, you will be asked if health workers can access the information from the COVIDSafe app on your phone. This information is only used by health workers to contact other people who may have caught the virus. They will not give that information to anyone else.
