COVID-19 social and emotional wellbeing resources to keep your spirit strong
‘Keep Your Spirit Strong’ resources are available to help communities care for their social and emotional wellbeing.
Over the past year many people have faced challenges. This might have included being separated from family and friends, financial uncertainty or job losses, and not being able to conduct ceremonies in the ways they are used to.
A collection of resources titled ‘Keep Your Spirit Strong’ is now available to support social and emotional wellbeing. These resources have been developed specifically for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and aim to acknowledge the holistic view of health that encompasses Country, family, kinship networks, spirituality and many other areas of life.
They include videos, social media posts and case studies showcasing Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander-led approaches to mental health and social and emotional wellbeing.
Follow the hashtag #KeepYourSpiritStrong on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram to see how communities and families are looking after their social and emotional wellbeing and keeping their spirit strong.
Sharing stories and empowering those who need support to seek it, is one of the most important actions people can take to keep their spirit strong.
