An evidence-based Framework has been launched for consultation to inform the best ways to support Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children to thrive in their early years.
This Framework has been developed in formal partnership between SNAICC, the national peak body for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children and the National Indigenous Australians Agency.
It is the starting point for developing the broader National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Early Childhood Strategy which will be a key mechanism for the Commonwealth to achieve the early childhood outcomes within the National Agreement on Closing the Gap.
Co-design and working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children and families is a central part of the development of the Strategy.
SNAICC will undertake consultations with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children, families, communities, service providers and other experts.
There are a number of ways for you to engage in the consultation process and have your say.
To find out more and get involved, visit the SNAICC website.
The consultation closes on 19 May 2021.
