Boosting quantum technology for First Nations health
The Critical Technologies Challenge Program is seeking quantum technology solutions to help improve life expectancy, health outcomes and access to health technology for First Nations peoples.
The Australian Government invites applications for Round 2 of the Critical Technology Challenge Program (CTCP).
Up to $5.5 million is available for consortia applications to test and develop quantum technology solutions to 4 nationally significant challenges. The challenges focus on First Nations peoples’ health, as well as biosecurity, transport and logistics, and the energy sector. Participation of First Nations peoples and businesses is encouraged across all CTCP challenges.
The CTCP brings together industry, researchers, and technology end-users to develop quantum solutions that can be fast-tracked for commercial development.
The CTCP First Nations peoples health challenge seeks quantum technology solutions that:
- improve the ability to identify, treat and prevent health conditions that disproportionately impact First Nations peoples.
- improve access to health technologies in rural and remote Australia.
- align with the National Agreement and Closing the Gap target: everyone enjoys long and healthy lives.
CTCP projects that involve working directly with First Nations peoples or will impact the lives of First Nations peoples should be based on genuine engagement that leads to co-design, co-development, informed consent and mutual decision making.
You must form consortia to apply. Use the Contacts Directory to find potential consortium partners. You can submit your organisation's details, services, interests and contact information, which will be publicly available. This allows you to find potential partners and for others to find and contact you.
Listing your details on the Contacts Directory is not an application for the CTCP.
Access the Critical Technologies Challenge Program: Contacts Directory.
Applications open 15 January 2025 and close Wednesday 26 February 2025 5:00pm AEDT.
