About the IRG
The Northern Australia Indigenous Reference Group (IRG) functions as a significant advisory body for the Australian Government on pan-northern Indigenous business issues and solutions, and the prosperity and self-determination of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. The IRG have used their platform to successfully influence Australian Government policy for northern Australia.
The IRG is inviting individuals dedicated to creating sustainable opportunities and maximising Indigenous outcomes.
Who Should Apply?
We are looking for individuals with:
- Expertise in Indigenous Business: Demonstrated experience in creating, leading, or supporting Indigenous businesses or industries in Northern Australia, including supply chains.
- Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of sectors critical to Northern Australia's growth, such as agriculture, mining, tourism, renewable energy, legal and community services.
- Strategic Insight: Proven ability to contribute to high-level discussions and provide advice on policies and programs aimed at fostering sustainable Indigenous economic outcomes.
- Commitment to Indigenous Empowerment: A strong commitment to promoting Indigenous participation and leadership across all sectors.
