Transformative partnership-based approaches to Indigenous policy that include First Nations knowledges, perspectives and values are delivering benefits to First Nations and the broader public.

The Australia and New Zealand School of Government's 2023 First Nations public administration conference: First Peoples to All Peoples: partnerships, devolution, transformation and sharing to be held in Brisbane on 1-3 March, 2023 and supported by the National Indigenous Australians Agency (NIAA). It will bring together public servants, academics and First Nations organisations to hear a range of First Nations speakers from Australia and Aotearoa New Zealand share their insights and experiences.

The conference will examine First Nations policy through the lenses of Australia’s National Agreement on Closing the Gap commitments, particularly the four Priority Reforms, as well as the New Zealand Public Service Act 2020, which now clearly sets out the responsibility of the public service, particularly its leadership, in supporting the Crown’s relationship with Māori under the Treaty of Waitangi.

Registrations are now open. For more information on the conference including speakers,  pricing and conditions please visit the conference website.
