Why run a marathon?
The marathon is one of the most demanding and difficult things anyone can do; it hurts…so why do it?
Australia’s World Marathon Champion, Rob de Castella and his charity, The Indigenous Marathon Foundation is again seeking Indigenous men and women to run a marathon in just six months as part of the very successful Indigenous Marathon Project.
The IMP is one of the most demanding leadership programs imaginable. It is a six-month commitment involving education, travel, connection and lots of running. It is open to all Indigenous men and women aged between 18 and 30 years, from across Australia’s remote and isolated communities, country and regional towns, and major cities. No running experience is necessary.
Make sure you sign up via the IMF’s website. Head to www.imf.org.au and fill in an application form.
Please help us by spreading the word!
The Indigenous Marathon Foundation (IMF) uses running to advance Indigenous Australia and create inspirational indigenous leaders & is a registered health promotion charity with DGR status.
The IMP program is supported by the Commonwealth Department of Health.
